Parent Summit 2026

  • 23rd and 24th of October 2026
  • In Astana, Kazakhstan

Education does not happen in school alone. It happens across homes, schools, communities, and the wider conditions that shape children’s lives.

When those parts stop working together, children feel it first.

In recent years, that strain has become harder to ignore. Families have seen more clearly where education supports children well, where it falls short, and where stronger partnerships are needed. For the 10th anniversary of our activities as Parents International, we are bringing together parents, parent representatives, researchers, and professional educators to exchange practice, discuss recent research, and think concretely about what needs to change next.

Over the past ten years, Parents International has worked on key parts of our education ecosystems, especially the relationship between home and school, the role of digitalisation, and questions of child and family well-being. This Summit is a space to bring those strands together in one conversation.

We are honoured to welcome Professor João Costa as a keynote speaker.

A Portuguese linguist and education leader, and a member of Parents International’s Scientific Advisory Board, Professor Costa has long engaged with some of the central questions in education, including inclusion, curriculum, and literacy. His contribution is especially meaningful in this milestone year for Parents International.

The Parent Summit 2026 is a great opportunity to showcase your activity and reach a broad, diverse, and committed audience. You can choose between:

  • a presentation session
  • a 30-minute workshop
  • a poster or a stand

The Parent Summit is shaped by the people who take part in it. Its value depends on the range of experiences, perspectives, and contexts that parents and parent representatives bring into the room.

Alongside our programme and partnerships, a dedicated fundraising effort helps keep the Parent Summit 2026 open to a wider range of participants. This includes parents and parent representatives who contribute their time and expertise without institutional backing, as well as the practical conditions that make exchange, learning, and collaboration possible.
