Parent Summit 2026

10th Anniversary Parent Summit 2026

“Repairing Broken Education Ecosystems Together”

Save the Date!

  • On 24/25 October 2026
  • In Astana, Kazakhstan

The right to education is a basic right to all children and getting the right support in educating our children is a basic right of parents. The scientific term for “it takes a village to raise a child”, education ecosystem was created by Urie Bronfenbrenner as early as 1979. In the past years, it became more and more evident that the ecosystem is broken. As a result of the school closures of 2020-22 parents have a deeper insight into schooling than before, and it led to an exodus out of the school system in various parts of the world. The right to education – Past, present and future directions, published in December 2025, highlights various challenges, including the relevance of school.

Parents International has addressed various elements of this ecosystem, especially topics related to the relationship between home and school education, the role of digitalisation in the ecosystem, and challenges of well-being in the past 10 years.

In the 10th anniversary edition of the biennial Parent Summit, we are inviting our members, partners, and all others interested in thinking together about repairing the broken systems together to showcase inspiring practices, discuss the implications of recent research, and set future directions.

Topics include:

  • Educating citizens of a blended world without bans
  • Home-school partnerships for relevant and enjoyable education
  • Raising healthy children
  • Feeling included as a mobile or migrant family
  • Handling bullying, especially of the bully is a teacher

Registrations open on 15 April.

If you are interested in showcasing your own research or practice, please contact us at [email protected]
